I have recently been moved on medical grounds to a bungalow, having struggled in a second floor flat for many years. My name's Andy, I am a single 40 year old man with several medical conditions, that have a big impact on my daily living. I have a long standing battle with mental illness and now have ended up with osteo arthritis and Fibromyalgia..Fibromyalgia causes widespread body pain, memory loss, lethargy, insomnia, muscle spasms, depression to name a few symptoms. These are all things I suffer with daily.

The property has a relatively large garden, which is a total blank canvas. I want to create a space that will help me both mentally and physically. Soft exercise is good for both my fibromyalgia and arthritis. I want to also be more self sufficient. I wish to build a raised vegetable patch from railway sleepers, so that i can sit on the side of the sleepers and tend to my plants. I also need a small potting shed where I can grow seeds and also work seated on a stool.

I also wish to have some raised flower beds. I have always wanted a garden and find it very therapeutic, but I need to have raised beds made as I can not bend very well or kneel. A pond where I can get into keeping fish would also be an absolute dream. Having somewhere I can sit and rest would be tranquil and very beneficial to my conditions.

To the front of the property the garden is laid to lawn. I have a car but there is only street parking. It would help so much if I could open this space up and have a driveway where I can safely get in and out the car.

Unfortunately I am physically unable to do these works myself so am going to have to pay others to do it for me. I know exactly in my head how it would look and I know that once it is done I will be able to maintain it myself. My brother would also come and help with anything I couldn't do. The hardest thing is I know how to do it myself and could do it over time if my body would allow it, but it wont.

Any amount would help me so much to help me become more self sufficient and also to have a garden that I can nurture and enjoy for many years to come.

Thank you for taking the time to read this.
