Gap Medics Internship

I am travelling to Tanzania this June to volunteer at a local hospital and learn about health care in a poverty-stricken third world country. I am going to be volunteering at the local orphanage as well. This experience will given me practical, hands-on experience for nursing school. I will get the opportunity to learn about diseases not found in North America, monitor patients, help deliver newborn babies and assist doctors with patient care.  I am raising money to bring medical supplies, toys, clothes, food and school supplies to the local hospital and orphanage.
