My father was a Health Inspector and it was his dream to try and correct the bad state of water situation in the villages where he used to visit as part of his job. One such villahe was Gangama which by then in 1962 had a population of 200 people. Today 50 years later, that population is 6000 and the only well that my father put up then, caters for all these people. The situation gets worse in the rainy season, with frequent outbreaks of typhoid fever and then when the weather is hot and dry, the people have to que from 5am as the water just trickles slowly. Sadly my father died shortly after and it is my wish and goal to carry on his dream. Your help will be appreciated and it will go along way in easing the pressure on this one well.
