In the Spring of 2013, I, Shayan Gazerani will joining Newcastle College of Newcastle-upon-Tyne (UK) and Bull Precision Expedition Ltd to travel to Gambia (West Africa) in an effort to gain experience in Relief Work in a Remote Area.
- About a 1/3 of the population lives below the international poverty line of US$1.25 (GB£ 0.78) a day
- In the North Bank, Up-per River and Lower River regions, about two thirds of the population is poor
- School fees long prevented many children from attending school
I will be doing some repair and construction work to improve the schools facilities in Gambia. He will be also delivering some sports equipment and activities to the school children.
I will need your support to raise the funds necessary to get him there and therefore, would appreciate your generosity in donating what you can afford.
