Gal’s house

Hello dear family and friends,

On the first day of 2017 I was sitting in the sauna with some friends. One friend asked me: "What do you wish for the next year to come?" "I am very happy with everything that happened last year", I said, "I wish that things would just stay as they are..."

2 days passed... after christmas break on my first working day in the ice-cream factory, I had been told that I am fired. I didn't get too excited, and not specially impressed. I came back home from work and one hour later my landlord showed up and told me I have to leave the house! Now I started to get more impressed and realized that there might be something big behind all of this. I just need to find out what. I picked up the phone and called my friend Daniel. I asked him about his neighbor house, that was standing empty for a while. He said he will check it out. The day after he called me and said that he just saw some people in the house and went to investigate them a little bit. He found out that they want to sell the house soon, and there is an opportunity to buy it now with a great deal before it is really out for sale.

The house is an old school building that is perfectly renovated and turned into a living house. It is very big, with 2 floors, each one of them has it's own kitchen and shower. in the down floor, other then 2 big rooms there is one very big room (about 70 square meters). It provides the option of living and having a space for creative projects, such as alternative kinder garden,all kinds of art projects, cafe/restaurant with live music and more. A lot of inspiration and ideas are coming... The only close neighbors are my good friends and together we hope to create something special there, ensure a good place for me and my family to live there in the future and even make some creative dreams come true.

The price of the house is 350,000 kr, which is about 36,000 €. Considering the value of the house, it's size, condition and location, the price is very low. The reason: the house used to be owned by an old couple that died with a big debt to the bank. The daughter, who inherited the house, doesn't want it or the debt, and now the bank is trying to sell the house in order to get back some of the money they lost. A part of the whole summ (120,000 kr) I managed to save through the last years, but I still miss 230,000 kr. I explained my situation to the bank who is selling the house and asked for one month to try to arrange the money. But even during the last 2 months I couldn't get a loan from any Swedish bank. I spoke again with the sellers and asked for another month time. They agreed to wait for me until the end of may, without offering the house to no-one else.

Now I turn to you, dear people - help me fulfill the dream. 230,000 kr might sound big, but you are a lot of people, and I love and trust you. If each one that can open his/her heart will really donate - I believe we can raise the necessary amount.
