Campaign Story
**We've extended our fundraiser deadline!**
Due to the success of our in-person event and the interest people showed in continuing to donate (and win a prize of course), this campaign has been extended by 1 week to end on June 24th at 11:59 pm. Help us reach our online fundraising goal!
We are GAJET, the Gunma Association for Japan Exchange and Teaching, an association for ALTs on the JET Program. GAJET will be holding its annual charity event, “I Can Japan”. The goal of I Can Japan is for the Gunma ALTs to raise money for a local or Japan-wide charity in order to give back to our community. Due to the Novel Coronavirus, we have not been able to hold this event for 3 years, but we are very excited to finally be able to hold this event again.
This year, all funds raised during the event will be donated to the Gunma Prefecture Ukrainian Evacuee Fund. The funds through this charity are currently being used to help provide financial aid and necessary supplies to Ukrainian refugees who have relocated to Gunma. On top of this, we would like to extend a welcome hand from Gunma’s global community to the Ukrainian community.
This year we will have our first online I Can Japan raffle! ¥500+ donations will be automatically entered into a raffle where the winner will receive a Gunma Care Package including several small items from the Gunma-chan shop in Takasaki Station. International donors from countries that allow shipping from Japan are also eligible to apply. The winner will be chosen after the donation closes June 24th 11:59 pm Japan time. Let's help out and support our community here in Gunma!
Rewards
Donors of at least ¥500 will be put in a one-time raffle to win a "Gunma Care Package" which will include several goods from the Gunma-chan mascot shop in Takasaki Station!

Thanks for a great ICAN! It's my first ever ICAN, but I have done a few events like this in the past, and I know how much time, effort and love goes into making them a success. Well done everyone!
