Campaign Story
Hello, my name is Gaia, and I am now 22 months old. I was diagnosed with Congenital Heart Disease-Atrioventricular Septal Defect, which is common in babies with Down Syndrome, on March 26, 2021, and had my successful open heart surgery on July 7th of last year through the help of some generous people.
A year after my operation, I was advised by my heart doctor to undergo cardiac catheterization—a procedure in which a thin, flexible tube (catheter) is guided through a blood vessel to the heart to check how well it is responding and if my heart pressure has gone down. I will be scheduled for the procedure on November 2022 and I am hoping that you can help me raise $2500 for the procedure.
Any amount that you and your friends share will be a big help to ensure my recovery.
