Future Forensic Scientist!

Hello everyone, Baalat Marshall here!

I am currently a Sophomore at Fort Valley State University in Ga, and a Biology / Forensic Science major.

Since the 9th Grade, I have had the goal of becoming a forensic scientist. I realized the diversity of the field of forensic science through television shows such as Law & Order SVU, NCIS and Forensic Files. Seeing female scientists working in various departments, putting tiny pieces of a puzzle together to solve crimes etc, really appealed to the hidden scientist in me. I had finally where I knew I could belong and flourish.

I worked hard in high school, to graduate with a 3.2 G.P.A, and I currently have a 3.78 G.P.A in my Sophomore year in college.

The expense of college is worrisome, and although I have applied for many scholarships (....and I will keep trying), I have yet to receive an offer of a part or full time scholarship. But.....I can still accomplish my goals with your help! This future Forensic Scientist will keep working hard towards my Bachelor's degree and hopefully, my Master's Degree.
