Campaign Story
Sgt. Thomas served in Viet Nam from 1970-1974 as an aviation supply man. He obtained the Viet Nam Service Medal; Campaign Medal; Good Conduct Medal (awarded twice) and was a Rifle Expert and was discharged in 1976 after serving in the Reserve.
He passed early Tuesday morning 12/28/2021 of complications from Agent Orange/Cancer contracted during his service. Sgt. Thomas fought a good fight until the end, making it through Christmas which was one of his last wishes. He was loved by many, had the most infectious smile, a great singer and will be terribly missed.
He is survived by his wife; 7 children and 19 grandchildren.
We are trying to raise the funds to cover the remaining amount it will cost for his final expenses and funeral costs which the V.A. will not cover, hopefully before his scheduled burial on 1/18/2022.
