Funeral & burial for our friend, Mark

On August 2, 2017, our friend Mark V. Sangalang died due to a motor vehicle accident. He was 33 years old. He is survived by his wife and 10-year-old son.

We've known Mark since we were kids. He was a good friend to all of us. We spent a lot of summers together relaxing, biking (one of his main interests), playing video games (Tekken, specifically) and taking care of exotic insects/animals.

Before he passed away, he was working as a repair man/sales man in our friend’s vape shop. Unfortunately, he has no insurance and little to no savings. The current cost of funeral and burial in the Manila ranges from Php 30,000 to Php 100,000 and his family intends to bury him on August 12, 2017. Offline, we’ve contributed to funeral costs and started approaching various local government units for donations to aid his family. We are also starting this campaign to fund his funeral and burial expenses. Whatever remaining amount will be given to his son.
