Campaign Story
This is our story....
We recently found out that our mom of 57 years of age was diagnosed with cancer!
They say it's liver cancer, but it's origin is still unknown. We have no idea at what stage she is at the moment. All we know is that she is getting weaker by the day. Hopefully we will have more answers by the 17th of May 2018 after her next doctors appointment.
She unfortunately has no medical aid and only receives a small government grant which will not be able to cover her medical fees.
We desperately need any help we can get to assist her with her journey that lies ahead.
Our world has been turned upside down. How could this be happening to her!
If you have it in your heart to assist a complete stranger who is fighting for her life as you read this blog, please don't hesitate to do so.

UPDATE - 18 May 2018
Hi all! As you all have read in our initial story that our Mom will see her Dr the 17th May, which was yesterday, to get an update on the road ahead and to find out her prognosis. Only to hear that the results will be available in 2 weeks time (1 June 2018). We will keep you updated as soon as we have the results. We would just like to thank every single person who has donated so generously, we appreciate your help!! Now for the long wait again......
UPDATE - 30 May 2018
Hi all, this will be my last update. It is with great sadness that we have to let you know that our Mom has lost her battle against cancer. She passed away peacefully among her family on the morning of 28th May 2018. We would just like to thank everyone that assisted in raising funds for her medical bills. The excess funds will be donated to Cansa who assisted us along the way. We will still be drawing the winning ticket for the stay at Gondwana Game Reserve and keep you updated as to whom the lucky winner is.
