Good day everyone, thank you for taking the time to read this.
First & foremost, my name is Amaris and I have just completed my Year 12 & will be pursuing my Bachelor of Education degree studies. I would love to be given the opportunity to study overseas to gain more experience & exposure in learning about the different cultures in another country.
Therefore I have studied hard in my high school as well for my recent Year 12 that has got me a place to study in Feb 2019.
However, it’s unfortunate that our currency has been weakened, leading to a limited scholarship or sponsorship available for me. Due to high cost in exchange to pay for the Universities, it prompted me to start a Fundraiser to appeal and seek help to further my education studies.
My father passed on when I was 11. I have 2 other older siblings. My 1st sibling is also helping to finance my 2nd sister’s on her living expenses.
My mum single handedly brought us up by supporting to ensure that all her children complete their degree at whatever cost. However due to current economic downturn, she finds difficult to continue to finance her 2 children’s uni fees at the same time. As a result of that, my 2nd sibling has to take up part-time jobs to cover her own living expenses & house rent too.
I am sure you agree with me that, every parents desires to see their children successful in life. My mother will provide the best for her family - even if it means to sacrifice her time & retirement fund.
As the saying goes, knowledge is a basic thing that we need to acquire for a better future as well as to contribute to the community at large.
That is the reason I have a dream that hope to achieve when I finish my studies one day.
I would be doing my 4 years degree in Bachelor of Education. After that, I hope to work with schools and also to open a school one day for kids from different backgrounds - be it poor or rich, or special needs children, and to allow them to have an opportunity to study just like me & to provide these children a comfortable and safe environment to learn and grow in.
Besides this, I want to ensure that one of the main values that my teachers and I will uphold, is the trait of empathy and sensitivity towards the mental disorders that are present in this world today and even in children that is often overlooked as it did with me. I want to ensure that every child will have the room to express themselves freely, but at the same time learn the true meaning of life and its consequences to which every action would bring.
I absolutely love children and people, and upon graduation, I hope to get a job to repay my kindness not only to my family whom have sacrificed but in return to contribute back to the society in Malaysia and in bigger hopes - the world.
Therefore it is my desire to study Bachelor of Education in Australia because they are known for their education courses and the teachers are well valued too. Furthermore, I would be able to enhance my skills with the vast experiences Australia will offer. Don't get me wrong, there are great Universities in Malaysia, but for Early Childhood Education - it is strangely limited.
I believe that with me studying in Australia for my education course, it can offer me a greater experience & exposure through different cultures, environment and people - allowing me to broaden my perspective and becoming a more accepting person which I strongly believe is an extremely important trait in this world and of a teacher.
I am open to learning new things and is strongly determined with new challenges that a completely different country would bring to me. After all, nothing blooms without hard work and persistence.
My yearly course fee is approximately $30,000 (Course Fee) + 20,000AUD (Rental & Living Expenses) per year and it increases every year as well.
Truth be told, I don't know whether I can reach $150,000AUD for my entire course, but I'm putting my faith and confidence in God to provide whether it’s a small or big amount that will be gracefully granted to me.
I will be extremely grateful towards it as it can cover my education fees & house rent and other necessities with the money I've earned while I work and study there.
You are free to donate any amount you'd feel comfortable with and my heartfelt thanks for your kind contribution towards my education funds as it means the world to me.
If there's anything you'd like to know, to be confident in your fund contribution to me, feel free to write to me and I would gladly reply to you at this email [email protected]m.
