My mother, Marita is currently at Makati Medical Center's Intensive Care Unit. She suffered a massive stroke last Sunday night and is now being monitored and treated. We rush her to this hospital eventhough it is expensive because we want to be sure that she will be okay. Doctors here are really great and the staff and facilities and machines are all working (compared to the first private hospital that we brought her which has broken MRI and CT Scan machines).

We are very thankful that her Angiogram on the same night after about more than 4 hours showed spontaneous recanalization of M1 occlusion. This means that previously blocked arteries in her right brain was not there anymore. Her body was able to pumped it on its own and the clot has flowed to a smaller artery/vein. The neurosurgeon said that this is the first he was able to witness a little miracle and that my mom is strong.

With this they cancelled the planned Thrombectomy which is a procedure that will cost about a million pesos. She is still at the ICU. They first need to let her body heal the bleeding also in her brain and then they may start giving medicine for the blockage.

The costs of her stay at the ICU, her medicines, doctor fees is too much for us siblings. That is why we will try reaching out for all kind people out there to please help us with our financial struggles for our mom.

She will turn 60 this coming Christmas Day and I hope she can fully recover by then.

Thank you for those who will donate. You may send it also thru my bank account
