Fundrasing for Nikkie’s Kidney Transplant

Hi. I am Nikkie Trinos-Platon, 29 years old from Bay, Laguna. I married my husband Paul in 2017 after 11 years as boyfriend-girlfriend. We have no child as I was diagnosed to have Chronic Kidney Disease few months before our wedding.

I am very thankful to the good Lord for giving me Paul. Paul has been my anchor all throughout this two-year challenge. He has been at my side when I feel ill, and gives me encouragement at times that I would like to give up. I have been on hemodialysis for a year now, and this treatment renders my body to be weak and my appearance to be different from what it used to be. More so, the hemodialysis has drained our finances, as well as my and Paul’s family.

The doctors advised that a Kidney Transplant is the best possible option for my health condition. After much prayers, my sister Cateryn Joyce finally agreed to my kidney donor. We are now planning to start the work-ups required for the procedure. The work-ups include series of tests that will determine suitability and compatibility of my sister to be my donor. If everything works as expected, we hope to schedule the transplant within the year. The transplant will allow me and Paul to start looking for a new, happier and more meaningful life together.

However, this hope may be dimmed by our limited financial resources.
The work-ups, surgery and post-operation medicines are estimated to cost around P700,000.00. On top of this, I am continuously having hemodialysis twice and week, which require us to spend P 5,700.00/ session or P11,400.00 for week.
