Rebuild the family house in Irpin, UKRAINE

I never could even imagined that would come the moment when I’d write something like this…

I was born and lived in the beautiful and picturesque city of Irpin, which is not far from Kyiv, Ukraine in a private house with my wife and parents. Dad, despite of the fact that he is a retire men, had his own auto repair business in his own garage, many of our friends have used his services over the past 20 years and recommended him to others.

We had a wonderful, calm, measured life. Like many Ukrainians, we had dreams of new travels, personal development and many other pretentious and farsighted plans for the future.

Early in the morning of February 24 life stopped. Waking up then at 04:00 am in the morning to the sounds of fighter jets flying over the house, it seems that February is still behind the window...

On the 7th of March we left our home and moved to the Western region of Ukraine. The next 3 months were simply torn from our life, consciousness and reality.

A morning call from a neighbor on mid-March divided our life into "before" and "after": a shell had hit our house and it was on fire... After that, there were several more hits and fires, since the second floor of both the house and the garage are basically gone now, they were simply torn apart and demolished. There was nothing left in the building that could be saved. ABSOLUTELY NOTHING...

Now we are facing the hard work of sorting out the rubble of what used to be called home, and then will have to rebuilt the house from the very beginning. The home was not covered by insurance. The Ukrainian government has not paid any money to any citizen whose home was damaged or destroyed. Someday, likely when the war is over, we can expect a maximum payment from the govt. of the equivalent of $8000 US, that's why I create this fundraising.
