Fundraising for Yuki Boy

Dear everyone,

Our dearest darling boy, Yuki, aged 3, was found his mouth bleeding badly. He defecated and was covered with his own faeces all over his body last night around 11pm. There were blood stains n faeces on the ground floor. We had no idea if it's due to hit n run accident, cat fights or falling down from the building.

Yuki was too weak n unable to stand on its own. We carry him and head down to the 24hrs vet immediately. The vet gave him oxygen to keep him alive n stable. Vet did a check and showed us he suffered 2 broken upper fangs, his lower lips was detached from his gums. His temperature taken at about 1am was 34.5 degrees which at norm should be 38 to 39 degrees.

Vet said they'll need Yuki to be under their observation and had to be hospitalised. Vet told they will refer to the surgeon the following day (which is today) and see if his lower lips require stitches. Vet also told me that they will need him to go ultrasound to check on any hairline fractures and x-ray to see if any spinal injury and if yes, chances of him being paralysed is high. He may also suffer trauma injury and if his condition worsens, he may not live. 😭

Yuki was a hyperactive and independent boy. We were deeply saddened to see his current state now.

Vet showed us the estimated cost of the medical bills as of now is about sgd1789.35 including surgery and 1 day hospitalization. For extra day that yuki still need to be hospitalised, that would be additional sgd377.95 to sgd643.65 per day. In case of cardiac arrest, to resuscitate him requires another fee sgd321 to sgd450.

We went to Neighbourhood Police Centre to ask if they would be able to track the Cctv footage from the police camera under our void deck but they said its not under their purview unless its a crime. So they asked us to call SPCA. We called SPCA and were directed to call AVF (used to be Nparks) and they makes going round like a ball. AVF then told us they can't do anything and unable to retrieve the CCTV footage. They advised us to call Town Council. And so we called Town Council, and were were directed to EMSU instead since its after office hours and PH. We can only call the next working day. 😭

Latest update 25/12/19 9am: Received a call from Vet, Dr Brenda says that Yuki's condition is still weak, he's still on fluids drip to help keeping his blood pressure above critical levels, ensuring that oxygen and nutrients continue to reach his brain and kidneys. They have done ultrasound, and discover internal bleeding. Vet will continue to observe him until he's stabilise before stitches on his jaw can be done.

Latest update 25/12/19 7pm: Yuki has not been able to eat or drink yet and has not defecate as of now. Condition still weak. Temperature has slightly went up. X-ray done last night and thankful Dr said no fractures. His mouth is still swollen and they can't do the stitching yet. Under further observation.

Update as of 26/12/19 9am: Vet called to inform that Yuki's temperature is 37 degrees but his blood count is 25 today. Yesterday was 30. They will monitor again in the afternoon. If it drop by 10, Yuki has to go for surgery. Let's pray Yuki gets better!

Vet called at 11.04am says Yuki is critical. Blood count drop to 25 n he's unconscious. Rushed to vet immediately.
