Bhursa Primary School is a well known primary School in the poor village of Bhursa in Binpur-1 block of West Bengal, India. This school is the temple of learning and get trained for the professional and social life. Our school was set up in 1952 on the donated land with the help of donated money. Our school atmosphere is very pleasant and school environment is very clean and attractive. Our school has highly qualified and experienced teachers who teach the students in very effective and creative manner. Our philosophy is to offer high quality education at free of cost.
In this village most of the people are too poor and send their children to this school for getting free education. Unfortunately, we have four classes with 291 students. But classroom is only two. Due to large amount of student and gathering of four classes, teaching and other collateral activities of the school for a student is hampered. Our students always want to enhance their formative evaluation using their communicative skill and participation in group projects. These children are so enthusiastic and need their separate space where they can play, learn and develop. So we plan to build additional classroom which will be bit separate from the other two.
Beside those we have no dining hall for a comfortable lunch of the student during mid day meal. Students of this school have to sit out under the trees or on the verandah while having their mid day meal. The situation becomes worse during rainy season. In a bid to ensure that the school children take their lunch in a hygienic and comfortable environment, a couple of affluent local residents pooled in money for a dining hall at the school but that raised fund is not sufficient for this project. On the other hand, unfortunately the schools don’t receive much Government funding. The facilities and resources are limited and in disrepair.
So, the estimated cost for the classroom and dining hall project is 11 lakhs in Indian rupees, approximately £14,475/$15,940.
This is the cost of providing good quality classrooms and dining hall we believe our children deserve. And we hope you feel the same! We ask for your help in completing this School building and dining hall, giving hope to the poor village community!
Much help and support is needed. Please consider donating any amount to help us reach our fundraising goal to build this school like a home of the little kids.
