Fundraising for Nemo’s surgery

My friends would know that I'm not the type of person who is usually asking for help, but I want to try this once for Nemo. Please kindly help me raise fund for Nemo's ongoing complete teeth extraction surgery on September 25.

Having spent more than I can afford on his health in the last 3 months, I met a personal low point. Even without the funding I will let Nemo proceed the surgery, but any help would be much appreciated.

And before you fund me, please read Nemo's story and then decide whether you would want to help us.

I adopted my sweartheart Nemo this year in May. As I wanted to adopt an older dog who needed a home, Nemo seemed perfect. Aged 7-10, very calm, no separation anxiety. The shelter told me he was perfectly healthy (some bad teeth but it wasn't a big deal) and processed to neuter him. I picked him up a few days after I met him the first time.

I took him to a vet I trusted and let him do a full body check, where many things came to light. Aside from a bad skin condition and dental health, he was also heartworm infected. At that point I was told to consider bringing him back to the shelter, as he had too many "problems" going on.

But I have already decided to look after him the rest of his life, so I couldn't bring him back.

It's financially draining, but day by day, Nemo got so much healthier and happier. You would forget that he was already a senior sometimes.

Unfortunately, his dental problems got worse and worse. To the point were Nemo didn't let me brush his teeth anymore. I took him to multiple vets and turns out his mouth is too infected to be saved. Originally I wanted to postpone the full extraction surgery to next year, but Nemo would be much healthier and more painfree without all those rotten teeth in his mouth. Also, the possibility of further infections increased with time, so I have decided to let my trusted vet perform the surgery on September 25.

Please help me let my little angel live his remaining life less painful.

PS: I know many people say don't adopt pets when you can't afford it. I also agree on that. I guess I might have been too naive back then, thinking that Nemo was in good health even though I pointed out that his teeth "didn't look that healthy". I didn't expect that he would require so much medical assistance. But I already welcomed him to my home, and there was no turning back, because I have already decided to unconditionally love him forever.
