I am from Baku, Azerbaijan. My mother was diagnosed with Acute Myeloblastic Leukemia (AML) in October 2017. Since then she has been treating with chemotherapy in Baku.
Her doctor suggests an urgent bone marrow transplantation as the best option for potential cure. She has related sibling fully matched donor. Unfortunately, this operation is not performed for adults in Azerbaijan. That is why we are looking for possible opportunities in Turkey.
However, the estimated costs are very high and as a result of unexpected and significant medical expenses, we are experiencing extreme challenges in budgeting for my mother’s bone marrow transplantation expenses.
My father is 60 years old retired man who had a massive brain stroke, which caused serious damage on the left side of his brain in 2000 and since then he has become a disabled person.
Unfortunately, the medical insurance and state support system do not exist in Azerbaijan for covering such international medical expenses and our economic situation is poor enough to afford it.
Therefore, we need financial support, which seems to be the only opportunity for saving my mother’s life.
Any help and possible financial support from you highly appreciated.
