Fundraising For My Mother

My name is Kyle Nery and this is my second time to humbly ask help through GoGetFunding. This time, it’s for my mother, Marites Nery, who needs a kidney transplant as soon as possible to save her life. She has a stage 5 kidney disease. For the longest time she has been suffering from hypertension and taking lifetime medication eventually affected her kidney function and was forced to have an early retirement from her work. My mother has been undergoing dialysis twice a week since 2017. Her artificial grafting on her right arm only lasted for a year and a half so the doctors tried to relocate the graft on her left arm but the problem was there’s no suitable vein to make the graft as it’s either very little or no veins at all in sight. The next best alternative doctors did was by putting a permanent catheter on my mother’s neck, unfortunately it didn’t last long too. The catheter stopped functioning last week so, just yesterday, October 6, my mother saw her doctor and since the veins on her neck collapsed already the catheter has now been moved to her groin to continue her dialysis treatment but only for 2 months as the catheter is not suitable for longer usage. Doctors advised us to prepare as soon as possible for her transplant to give her a greater chance of survival. Unfortunately, medical operations are not free here in the Philippines so if urgent attention is needed, you are required to go through the process and that is what we do not have now hence the reason why I, as her son and carer decided to make an appeal. As it is my loved one’s life at stake, I would do everything to help my mother live. With no work because of the ongoing pandemic, it is really hard to sustain her needs and medications but we are doing the best we can. The amount needed for her transplant is unattainable and impossible to raise if just within the family circle and that is why I am appealing to your kindness and understanding to please help me raise the money for my mother’s kidney transplant operation. It may take a while to attain the needed amount of money but I believe that through prayers, generosity and kindness this will be achieved.
