My mom is a humble mother of four children. She is a loving and selfless woman. She juggles a career and household chores on both hands. She prepares breakfast for us before she goes to work and cooks dinner for us when she gets home. She takes care of us no matter how tired she is from work. I could never ask for a better mother than she is. She works a lot to make sure we get the best education and the best care even though sometimes we take all that for granted.
Everything was going well in my family until one fateful day, my mom discovered a lump in her left breast earlier in February, at first, she wanted to ignore it and said that it might be part of the hormonal changes that is happening to her since she has reached menopausal stage. However, when it started to become painful, we got alarmed and tried to convince her to have it checked. She refused to do so mainly because she thought it would be costly and we needed to save money for the tuition fees of my siblings who were still studying. Even when she was already suffering, she still put us first. After some weeks, we were able to convince her to go to a surgeon for a check-up, we used the money that we saved for a future family trip to finance the tests she needed to do (e.g. ultra sound, biopsy, etc.) and when the result came out, we were all in tears. My mom was diagnosed with Invasive Ductile Carcinoma; this is a common type of breast cancer among women. We went to Manila to get a second and third opinion and they confirmed the result. The oncologist that we talked to advised her to do a major operation immediately, in which her left breast has to be removed to prevent the cancer cells from spreading. This major operation costs Php160,000 excluding the other tests that she needs to do to make sure that her body can handle the said operation. We didn’t know how to raise that huge amount of money in a short time, I spent sleepless nights thinking of ways how to raise some funds for my mother’s operation.
As a daughter, I've always thought that my mom is a wonder woman. She is the most selfless person I know. I wouldn't be where I am now if not for her sacrifices and hard work. I would like my mom to live longer and enjoy what the future has to offer. I want to travel with her, hear her advices to get me through difficult stages of my life and be able to give her a less difficult life. Through your financial support, a lot of dreams will be realized. Please help us make some dreams come true and beat cancer before it's too late. Let's spread hope and love in the world by helping one mother at a time.
It would be a great blessing for our mom to be cured because she’s the best thing that has ever happened to us. She’s the next best thing we’ve ever received, the first is God’s salvation. We don’t deserve her just like we don’t deserve Jesus but we are really blessed for having her and please help us pray for her healing.
