FUNDRAISING FOR MY FILM DREAMS

My name is Adebanke Mary Adeyemi. I am a student of Universiti Malaysia Sarawak with matric number 64550. I am currently undergoing an undergraduate program in Cinematography in my 1st year second semester. I hail from Abeokuta- Ogun state in Nigeria. Please keep reading i know it is likely to be a long write up, please don't stop now.

Ever since I made up my mind to study Cinematography, it has always been my dreams to study in the New York Film Academy, and being that iI love Korea, I want to study in the Korea Academy. Well that not being really relevant now i'll move on and save that for the future.

My main reason for creating this account is to support my film making dreams. Making a huge impact in the Nollywood has been my greatest vision, fully aware that it will have it's challenges especially knowing fully well that there are lot's of talent and more experienced directors in Nigeria. Still I always know that Nollywood can do more. Being in my mid 20s there isn't anything like being too young. Hence my reason for embarking on the film-making path. I also believe that whatever you set your mind to do with diligence, handwork, support, determination and God you will accomplish. I may not be there now, but i'm glad I am on that path to succeed. I have directed some short films/music video in my school which i can is a huge step for me, someone with no background in film, i'll upload a video link to see my first music video of an old song given to us in school. This is start for me and what i will always look back on and try to improve on.

Now straight to the point I am humbly asking and hoping to raise the sum of $4000 to be able to buy my gears, as you may know to have good gears it cost a whole lot of money, i have the desire to start small before i get to my dream institution, i need to know the basics and be perfect at it of course. You may be asking why i'm not asking my family, well its simple they are always there for me. I will definitely need more than i'll list here, so i decided to open a gogund me account to start up my adventure just to buy the ones i can get while i study hard proving to myself and family that i can be less of a burden. I simply want to help ease the load on them, learning to be supportive is a trait i possess so please help me learn more and ease the load because i have more to go.

For my film-making expedition in school this and more is needed, but i will get probably in my second year. I'll keep learning and practicing with this gears, that's why it is really important for me to have it. And urgently i must confess, I use an HP Pavilion which is really lagging when editing with Premiere Pro even after upgrading it, and recently for my editing class we are to use Final cut, but i don't have a MacBook, so the urgency for this is really important to me.
