Fundraising for Jed Garcia

Hi Everyone

I am Jed Garcia, 25-year-old from Butuan City, Philippines. I graduated High school last 2011. During my high school years, I ran as a Vice Pres. for the Student Supreme Government Council. I also joined Kids Summer Class, a project aimed to teach young children aged 4-10 to read and write. 20 children attended our first 4-day class; most of them were more eager to study Literature and yearned for a second season.

Ever since I was a child, I have always wanted to travel far and wide to broaden my view of the world. I hope to use my experience to help children think creatively and critically one day.

Last Year, I apply for a Town Scholarships and hoping that I will qualify for the scholarship and hoping they will choose me for 50 applicants who will attend college next school opening, If I will get the Scholarship, I can continue my studies in college.

I have been taking part-time jobs to help provide additional funds for College. Thanks to my jobs, I have been able to raise a total of $400. I am also planning to work over next month before enrollment to raise additional funds.
