Fundraising to help provide healthcare in India!

Hello Everyone!

My name is Ali Hunter and I am trying to raise money to volunteer in Delhi, India. I have always wanted to visit India as I think it is a beautiful country. However, my drive to volunteer in India comes from its reputation for limited healthcare. It is well-known that the majority of the population still experience poor health due to lack of awareness of health issues as well as the mere cost of medical treatment, and I hope that I can try my best to combat some of these issues on a local level.

As a student pursuing a career in the medical field, I wish to help in providing healthcare to local people from slum and rural communities free of charge. Whilst in India, I will be based in free medical camps in the slum communities, local clinics and within a network of hospitals. It is another goal of mine to try my best to help in the prevention of illness by spreading awareness of health issues.

The money that I am raising is going towards the cost of the program. The organisation that I am working with is PMGY and I am planning on going for 3 weeks, commencing on August 6 ^th. The additional costs of visas, flights, vaccinations and additional costs whilst being there will come from money that I am currently working and saving up for.
