Fundraising for food, medication and construction of girls home

We are looking to raise $18000 to construct a shelter for the girls and boys, give them bedding's, provide Food and medical care and then get sewing machines for the technical school.

35 girls and 25 boys finished their primary school level this year and are sited at home. We would like them to join the technical school and gain some skills such as sewing and baking, building and construction skills, chicken farming, pig rearing and other numerous projects, so that they can develop manipulative skills among themselves for their future self-sustainability(self-reliance).

Before we found these little ones, they had gone through a lot. Some of them were starving on the streets with no food to eat and no one to care for them.

None of them went to school and the girls stood at risk of rape.

Excel Children's Care was started in 2010 by Mr Fortunate Kibombo. He saw the amount of young children living alone after losing one or both parents to HIV/AIDS, others had been abandoned, sometimes the parents were just too poverty stricken and could no longer care for the children.It was then he decided to rent a block of land in the village, gather all the children in need and build a home and school for them.

Initially, there were just 8, but now there are 40 girls and 35 boys living under our care aged 5-14 years old.

Children with HIV/AIDS are taken in and cared for, they are the innocent ones who contracted it from their mothers during birth.There is a matron to care for the young children in the orphanage, a cook to prepare meals and at school there are 9 Teachers.Children aged 3-6 years old are in "infant care" while primary school section ranges from P1- P7, aged 6-14.
