Hi! My name is Jane and I am a student in the Philippines. I am greatly concerned about how coronavirus, specifically covid-19, has impacted the whole world as it became a pandemic. When it reached the Philippines, I became more concerned because knowing that this is a developing country, I know we are not well prepared to face this type of crisis. The number of cases everyday keeps on rising and it is very alarming so the government decided to put us under community quarantine, some cities are in lockdown, social distancing was advised, establishments, classes, and work were suspended until further notice. Because of these, most Filipino families who rely on working on a daily basis in order to provide for their families are greatly affected. This urged us, students, to help them in any way possible. I am financially unstable but I was able to pursue my studies by the help of few individuals from an educational fundraising campaign. I will be forever grateful to them. They opened their doors for me, they were able to help me so I believe it is my time to return the favor, I should also help others. Because I know they need help more than I do. Through this, we can somehow help the government and our country.
Because others are not able to work due to the current situation, many families are suffering in the country, and many families are greatly affected in our province. The reason we decided to do a fundraising campaign is for us to help a charitable institution, to provide relief goods and financial support to those who are suffering in this unfortunate but lifelong learning adversity. We don't know when this crisis will end, but we are hoping it will end soon. Let's help one another in times like this. So we are knocking at your kind heart. You can donate any amount or you can simply share this campaign to your friends and families and help us pray for our country and the world. Thank you so much.
