Fundraising for Community Service Trip to Guatemala

Hi! My name is Kennedy and I am 16 years old and will be graduating from High School this coming end of school year. I am new to my school this year and I love it. My first day at school I was told about a Community Service trip that my school participates in. I was advised there were few places left and I was very interested in participating in such an experience.

The trip is scheduled for February 2013. The trip sounds like quite the adventure and at the same time we will be doing some wonderful things for the people of Guatemala.
I have started to read about Guatemala as I would really love to be able to go on this amazing journey. Not only to see other areas of the world but to visit an orphanage and to help with various community projects that we work on while we are there.

Of course with travel comes a price. The cost is $3400 with everything included. My parents can help me a little(I have 5 siblings) with the cost but I have a lot of work to do to raise that kind of money within the next 5 months.
We will be also be fundraising as a group at school, but with 15 or so people planning to go on the trip and 5 activities being planned, I know that I will need to do my own fundraising as well.

 
Any help or donations is very appreciated. I think as a teenager this would be an incredible learning experience for me. Thank you so much! Kennedy
