RAHS Batch 1973 graduate and retired police Arnel P. Serquina suffered from Hemorrhagic Cerebrovascular Disease and Status Post Craniotomy, Ventriculostomy Placement with operation done: Craniotomy, Ventriculostomy Placement and Tracheostomy.

According to his only son, John Dexter, his father was rushed at Eastern Pangasinan District Hospital in Tayug Pangasinan on January 18, 2019. But due to unavailability of ICU (Intensive Care Unit) room, he was transferred to The Medical City Pangasinan in Dagupan City around 11 am, the same day. It was the only hospital in Pangasinan which has available ICU room that time.

After a month in ICU, he was transferred to a regular room, but until now, he is still confined at the hospital because they cannot pay the hospital bills. They have already paid more than P400,000 and as of date, they still have a balance payment of more than P600,000.

Prior to his illness, Arnel works as a tenant of rice land. He only supports the family through farming, and since his illness, they do not have source of income.

John Dexter, 38, is single and unemployed. He is currently enrolled at the School of Law at Saint Louis University in Baguio City but had to go home to take care of his hospitalized father. He said they tried looking for alternative ways to pay their bills through PCSO but the assistance given by PCSO was not enough to cover all their hospital expenses so they still have to look for other ways to pay their bills.

As an alumni of Red Arrow National High School Batch 1973 in San Nicolas Pangasinan and retired police, Arnel seriously needs our help to pay his hospital bills and once he gets home, his medical maintenance.

I hope you find in your heart to help him and his family financially in this difficult time. As the saying goes, "You have not lived today until you have done something for someone who can never repay you."
