Last November 16, after eating at a local restaurant in Dumaguete City, Negros Oriental, Philippines, our sister and our niece, the driver, was about to go home riding a motorcycle, when suddenly a speeding pickup truck with a drunk driver hit them at the right side part of the motorcycle they're riding, causing the two of them to be thrown away from their motorcycle, skidding about 9 meters from the point of impact. Luckily, our niece only suffered minor injuries but unfortunately, our sister suffered the most. The pickup driver was apprehended and was detained by the police for 24 hours. After detention, he agreed to pay all the hospital costs required for the patient's operation, but the culprit failed to pay the full required amount.
Right now, our beloved sister requires 3 different operations, ankle surgery due to broken dislocated ankle that requires stainless bracket support, clavicle surgery due to broken clavicle, and the most immediate importance is the head surgery due to fractured skull and blood clot in the brain.
Our family and relatives have been so helpful and we thank them so much from the bottom of our hearts but unfortunately the funds accumulated is not enough to cover everything. We are hoping for your kindness in this time of trial and we will treasure any amount given and will be grateful throughout our lives. Thank you so much.
