Campaign Story
Beirut is devastated and our hearts are broken.
No words can describe our feelings at this point.
We have lost people and places we know.
This explosion is a fatal hit to the Lebanese people who are already fighting the worst economic crisis in the history of the country.
The worst is yet to come and despite the desperation we want to act.
Having lived in Mar-Mikhael one of the neighborhoods devastated by the explosion, I know that many old people live alone in poor conditions with no family nor a state to rely on. Those who are the most vulnerable need our help.
Donations through Bank transfers to Lebanon are not the best solution. Those who have been following the news of the economic crises in Beirut know that our banks are linked to our corrupt government that has been applying a capital control on our bank accounts. The best way to help is to send cash money with people going to Lebanon.
The aim of this fundraising is to locate and help at least one old person who has no one to count on and whose home was hit by this explosion. Almost every house has lost its windows and some have lost much more. The aim will be to rebuild the damage.
Every single move and the use of your donations will be made public to ensure full transparency.

Un quartier en ruine
Update posted by Yammine Yammine at 08:22 amC'est ici que j'habitais jusqu'à décembre dernier.
