I am a volunteer teacher with Bhutan Canada Foundation (BCF) at Pemagatshel Middle Secondary School located in a remote district on the eastern part of Bhutan. Established in 1958, the school takes in pre-primary to class X (Secondary 4) students. The students come from distant villages as far as a day's walk and the vicinity. Many of them have parents who are working as farmers or gypsum truck drivers.
At present, the school is facing a shortage of teaching and learning materials. I am helping the school to raise funds in order to make resources more available for the students and teachers. Any amount of donation towards this cause would be very helpful and greatly appreciated by the students and staff at PMSS. The donation will be formally acknowledged in front of the students, staff and public during the parent-teacher meeting.
Find out more about how your donations will help the school on my blog here.
