Whether you're here in Spain or overseas, you are most likely aware of the devastating effects of the recent Gota Fria storms on the Costa Blanca. There has been extensive flooding taking place in Valencia, Alicante, Murcia and Almeria, more locally to us in the villages of Orihuela, Los Alcazares, Catral, Dolores and Almoradi with many more villages being affected as well.
There are many residents of all nationalities being left homeless and being left with no amenities that we all take for granted.
The rescue services and local communities are doing all they can.We have to give a massive thank you from Coys Rent a Car to the emergency services and volunteers who have done such a great job - our thoughts and best wishes are with all of those affected.
As a local company we wanted to help and for that reason we are hoping to raise as much money as possible. We will be taking donations up until the 1st October and then the money will be distributed to the local town halls who are asking for donations.

We were actually on holiday in the Algorfa area when the storms struck, utterly devastating. It has happened twice in the area we live in the UK so I am no stranger to the horror of the storms. Our hearts go out to all the lovely people affected by this and hope the small contribution from our family will help in some way others who are affected. Well done to all the others who have contributed and to the Fund Organiser Michael Haynes.
