Fundraiser to deliver The Effective Studying & Learning Programme to disadvantaged learners

Almost 40% of South African learners who start grade 1 never reach grade 12. The basic trueth is that the schooling system is highly flawed and there is no hope of recovery anythime soon.

The only source of hope for many learners lies outside the school system where they pay for extra tuition and courses & workshops like the ones I offer. For those who cannot afford to pay, the only option left after years of struggle and humiliation, is often dropping out of school. This leaves South Africa with a ticking time bomb of uneducated, unskilled and unemployable young people, who are angry and frustrated.

In my experience working in in the youth development NGO sphere, I am touched and affected by this situation. I see the posive results gained by those who can afford to pay to attend my workshops. My voluntary efforts however seem to be wholey inadequate in the face of the overwhelming need that is in disadvantaged schools. Many school principalsprincipals inviting me to deliver the programme to their learners, unfortunately I have no means to enough time to do this.

I am therefore starting this campaign so that I may distribute the effective studying and learning programme to deserving but disaddisadvantaged learners. I want to train and support a team of trainers to help me distribute this programme as widely as possible.
