Aparte de ser papá y recién también abuelo, Raphaël Baekeland es para muchos un gran amigo, mentor, compañero y consejero.

La semana pasada empezó a sentirse decaído y antes de que nos dimos cuenta, se había tenido que internar en el hospital para ser atendido de urgencia. Adicional a un problema gastrointestinal, dio positivo con COVID-19 y presentó algunas complicaciones.

Su situación es delicada, sin embargo está consciente y con ánimo para superar esta etapa.

Sabemos que anhela poder tomar a su nieta en sus brazos por primera vez.

Su seguro solo cubre una parte de sus gastos médicos. Ayudémosle a juntar los fondos que requiere para continuar con su tratamiento en terapia intensiva, para que de esta manera el puede enfocarse al 100% en sanar y recuperar sus fuerzas.

Raphaël Baekeland is a dad and recently became a grandfather, he is also a dear friend, mentor, colleague and counselor to many.

Last week he started to feel ill and before we all knew it, he’d been admitted to the hospital for emergency treatment. On top of the gastrointestinal issues, he also tested positive to COVID-19 and presented some complications.

His situation is delicate, however he’s conscious and has good spirit to get through this stage. We know that he is longing to be able to hold his granddaughter for the first time.

His insurance only covers part of his medical expenses. Let us all come together to help him and raise the funds required to continue his treatment at the intensive care unit so that he can focus 100% on healing and recovering his strength.

Naast het feit dat Raphaël Baekeland vader en grootvader is, is hij ook voor velen een dierbare vriend, mentor, collega en raadsman.

Vorige week begon hij zich onwel te voelen en voor we het wisten werd hij opgenomen in het ziekenhuis voor een spoedbehandeling. Naast de buik- en darmproblemen testte hij ook positief voor COVID-19 en deden er zich complicaties voor.

Zijn toestand is delicaat, maar hij is bijbewustzijn en heeft de moed om deze fase door te maken. We weten dat hij enorm verlangt om zijn kleindochtertje voor de eerste keer in zijn armen te kunnen sluiten.

Zijn verzekering dekt enkel een gedeelte van zijn medische onkosten. Laten we allemaal samen de nodige fondsen bijeenbrengen om zijn behandeling op intensieve zorgen te kunnen verder zetten, zodat hij op die manier al zijn energie kan toeleggen op zijn genezing en recuperatie van zijn krachten.
