SG$5,360.00raised of SG$5,000.00 goal goal
Hello! I’m Anika and I’m an 18 year old student. In response to a Straits Times article published on the 19th of April that shed light on the less fortunate families in Singapore struggling during the covid season, my family and I wish to raise funds to help provide groceries, food vouchers, and other donations in kind, to such families. Aside from those mentioned in the article, there are many more families living in dire circumstances. They have no access to basic amenities and are unable to support their families due to the sudden job loss which resulted in a drastic income reduction. Despite the Governments’ efforts to provide financial assistance to such families, it has proven to be insufficient to help sustain their households. Their situation will continue to deteriorate as long as this pandemic continues and beyond. Our main goal is to support these families during this tough time and to ensure that they are able to see through their daily expenses. This pandemic has shed light on the many families who have been struggling economically exacerbated by the current unprecedented situation.
All of the money collected through this fundraiser will go to the affected families, be it in the form of groceries, pre-packed meals or food vouchers. We will continue to update this page to ensure that there is transparency with how your donations will be handled. This is our opportunity to give back to society and we sincerely hope you will support our cause to help those who are struggling much more than the rest of us during this difficult season!
