A typhoon that lashed the central Philippines on Christmas Day has killed at least 24 people and caused damage to homes and tourist areas.

Homes all over the island are destroyed, boats and motorbikes (sources of income) are lost or broken, trees have fallen everywhere, our island is unrecognisable. But we are surrounded by kindness and help, we can heal and rebuild from this. All donations made will be put towards rebuilding and supporting our community, rebuilding our neighbours homes and getting the island back to its glory. Even just by sharing our story would be of great help 🙏🏼

Typhoon Phanfone, known locally as Typhoon Ursula was predicted to be a level 1 typhoon, but no one expected this. It was 15% away from being as fatal as typhoon Yolanda in 2013, winds reached nearly 200km per hour. It was a level 3 super typhoon.
