Fundraiser for the Bagamaspad Family Covid Fight

Paul, a loving, reliable friend to so many and a dedicated father and husband - as well as his family are in desperate need of help in their fight against COVID and need funds to help cover their accruing expenses from several members of their household contracting (and succumbing) to COVID.

On May 7th, Paul and his brother-in-law came home from a site in Rizal Province. Paul said that his brother-in-law complained of a severe headache, that he felt may be due to heat.

On Sunday, May 9th, his brother-in-law got tested for COVID, while both Paul and his wife felt like they were coming down with the flu.

By May 10th, the result came back that his brother-in-law was positive with COVID, so Paul had his own swab test done and was confirmed to be COVID positive too.

He and his wife had isolated themselves. However after a week, his mother and mother-in-law had also developed flu-like symptoms. They also got tested on Monday, May 17th and had positive test results too.

Paul’s condition worsened when he experienced heavy difficulty in breathing and got admitted on Tues, May 18th, to Dr. Jose Rodriguez Hospital, in North Caloocan - when he could no longer handle his symptoms and had no choice but to ignore his fears of the potential cost of getting treatment.

By Wed, May 19th, his mother-in-law passed away from COVID and has been cremated.

Today, May 20th, his mom is being admitted to the emergency room in Metro Rizal Doctor’s Hospital also with advanced symptoms.

Paul's wife is additionally experiencing severe symptoms of being out of breath due to coughing, but is refusing to go to the hospital due to cost fears.

Paul's children are currently staying with a friend but have not been able to get tested, also due to costs as they are out of money at this point.

We are calling on friends, family and any angels across the globe to help support Paul and his family through these difficult times as he (and his family) fight to beat COVID.

Our fundraising is also to help take away Paul and his family's cost worries so they can get the treatment that they need to fight COVID, sooner rather than later when it may be too late.
