Fundraiser for our friend RANA

Hi Friends,

Our Friend, rana, has been battling aggressive blood cancer (Diffuse Large B cell Lymphoma) since November 2017. His only symptoms before his diagnosis were body itch and rash, and what we thought to be simple allergies somehow turned out to be cancer! Our friend is a Professor at the Institute of Education and Research, in Bangladesh and the diagnosis has brought his whole life to a halt. he has been through 6 rounds of chemotherapy and his mid treatment scan showed he was in remission. We were all very excited, only to find out last month that his cancer has spread to the bones in his spine. The news shattered our family. Currently our friend is going through even more intense chemotherapy in Singapore. The good news is that his cancer is responding to the chemotherapy and the next step is a stem cell transplant.

We are asking for your help with medical payments during this difficult time . his father has been handling all the medical bills so far and have already spent around $150K, but right now we are stretched too thin financially and finding it very difficult to meet the expenses. I am not one to ask for help, especially financial, but the financial burden of these treatments with the impending cost of stem cell transplant being approx 150K is a lot to undertake for his family. As international patients we also do not have health insurance in Singapore which is making it even harder. Anything you can offer would be more appreciated than you can imagine.
