Campaign Story
I am continuing this GoGetFunding page in memory of my nephew Norman Szoka . His family Glyn and children will need our support as she picks up the pieces .
In mid December 2019 our loving nephew Norman arrived home in after spending 5 weeks in Northern Angola on a work assignment for Spie Oil & Gas company. Norman spent Christmas in agonizing pain , and we initially thought was back muscle spasms. However , within 48 hours of arriving home Norman was rushed to George hospital , where he spent the next 5 hours waiting to be seen in Norman could not walk sit or stand as the pain was getting worse .
The CT scan revealed SCLC which metastasized to part of his spine, sternum an skull , liver and other organs .
Sadly , Norman passed away on 22 January 2020. We are beyond heartbroken .
The reason behind continuing this page is to help Norman’s family cope with financial demands in this very sad time .
