Fundraiser for Mum’s Nurses

This fundraising page has been set up to organise a contribution for the nursing staff at Field House Care Home, where Sylvia Mary Saunders (my Mum) was cared for in her final years before she passed away recently on 16 July.

I was impressed by the positive teamwork of the staff – how caring and kind they were toward Mum and her visitors, and how they treated her with dignity and respect, along with great dashes of humour!
They did an incredible job and helped make a difficult time for Sylvia feel more 'human' and comfortable.

As with many nursing jobs, their salary is comparatively low. Regardless of this, in the final weeks of Mum's life, the nursing staff would work extra hours - with no extra pay, and often into the early hours of the morning after a long shift - to make sure Mum was getting the medical care and support she needed.

I would like to gather some contributions so that the team can be recognised and rewarded for the work they do. I'd like to give them the funds raised so they can use it in the way they choose.
