Fundraiser for Mikey’s 30th Birthday

Mike McConnell is turning 30 on February 8th, so what better time to help raise funds for his birthday present....."Camera Equipment".

Some of you might be wondering what your contributions will be going towards.....well these are some of the things that Mike has put on his birthday wish list:

> Full frame Canon 6D
> lenses (macro to zoom)
> hard drives
> slide tracks and stabilization stuff for video
> software to edit video

Mike is eager to learn more and more about Photography and continues to experiment with lighting, angles, composition and exposure. Just as his need for knowledge grows, his thoughts for the future include upgrading his equipment. For this reason, I would love for his 30^th birthday to be that special time when his family and his friends come together to raise funds for some new equipment.

For Mike, photography and automobiles had always gone hand in hand, though his love for Nature Photography became apparent after moving to Calgary in 2010. His interest in Spiritual Learning and Meditation made him appreciate his surroundings more than ever and it shows to this day in his photos.

If you don't already know, Mike is a Digital Video Editor. He studied at International Academy of Design and shortly after, he worked as Editor for Power Boat Television. Although he isn't working in that field right now, he has gotten back into it recently, filming and editing a "Drifting"video. He is looking forward to more filming and editing in the near future.
