Message from Elma Quezada:

On the night of 17 November 2022, my beautiful and much loved younger sister, Mary Grace, suffered a sudden heart attack and passed away. We have started this page to raise funds for her beautiful 15 year old son, who meant the world to her, to help contribute to the bright future Mary Grace wanted so badly to provide for him.

Mary Grace worked in Singapore for almost 10 years. She was a loving single mother and worked tirelessly every day to ensure her son had everything he needed and felt loved and supported, despite the distance between them. She had not seen him for several years and was so looking forward to being reunited next year, having completed her latest contract.

Mary Grace also supported both our parents. Our mum had a stroke 3 months ago and has been in recovery since. She requires expensive medication that has required us to work extra hard to be able to buy all her medicines and necessities. Mary Grace never thought twice about selflessly stepping up to contribute to the needs of her family.

Apart from being a loving mother, daughter and sibling, Mary Grace was an incredible friend. She was known for her sweet and caring nature and was always the first to nurse anyone who was unwell, feed anyone who was hungry and generally put the needs of everyone she cared for before her own. She was pure goodness and the very definition of a beautiful soul.

Mary Grace was also a passionate karate practitioner, dedicating much of her spare time to the sport. She will be buried in her karate gi as the sport meant so much to her and she spent many happy days practicing with me and some of her best friends.

We are incredibly grateful for any contribution to this collection in Mary Grace’s memory. Many thanks for your kindness and joining us in remembering this special woman who will be so deeply missed by so many.
