Fundraising for essential supplies for international volunteer childcare and animal programs in Peru.

I believe the greatest gift you can give, is time. The fuel that drives my passion for volunteering and providing essential support stems from the complete universal fortune to have grown up in such an amazing country along with a strong desire and willingness to learn, grow and value education. Volunteering has given me the opportunity to be part of something so much bigger than myself, and to be the change that I hope to see in the future. I have already met so many amazing people from all different walks of life through my journey in Africa and hope to continue to use my skills and fortunate position in the world to make an impact however small.

As many of you know I am travelling to Cusco, Peru in June for 6 weeks to volunteer teaching English and to work in an animal rehabilitation centre.

I would love to fundraise some money to be able to take with me some essential items to donate to the local community that many of the children and animals go without.

It is so important to recognise how fortunate we are to live in a country where we have amazing health care and education facilities that we often take for granted.

I would appreciate any donations large or small in supporting my trip.

■ Hygiene items (toothbrushes, toothpaste, soap, shampoo)

■ School supplies (notebooks, pens, pencils, colored pencils, markers, erasers)

■ Craft supplies (popsicle sticks, glue, paper plates, glitter, etc.)

■ Children's clothing (new or used, clean and in excellent condition)

■ Medical supplies (latex gloves, bandages, band-aids, antiseptics, aspirin and other pain relievers, cough syrup, allergy medicine, triple antibiotic cream, hydrocortisone)

* It's important to be sure that medicine and vitamins do not expire for at least 1 year
