Fund my Thesis!

To begin, my name is Mica and I'm 20, studying for my third year of my Bachelor European Public Health. In February, I will begin my thesis period where I must partake in a placement alongside writing my thesis.

Unfortunately, due to being British- Brexit has removed the opportunity of funding through Erasmus that most of my coursemates will be able to obtain. Working to obtain the funds by myself is impossible- as I will need to support my travel, living costs and accomodation for 4-5 months. I already work as much as I can alongside my university studies to fund my living, and this gives me little saving opportunity. This is why I am resorting to starting a GoFundMe to help with my savings- and allow my to complete my thesis with stability.

What will I do for my thesis?
I am aiming to take a placement at the EMCDDA in Lisbon, Portugal. Although my ideas are not specific yet- I would like to look at how legislation on illegal drugs can impact an addict and effect their chances for recovery. Lisbon is a key place to study drug legislation after they decriminalised drugs in 2001 and saw dramatic reductions in overdoses, drug-related crimes and drug related infections such as HIV.

In return for funding my thesis: I will deliver updates about my progress and I will publish my thesis once complete, so that you can see what you helped to support.
