My wife and I have recently began fostering cats and kittens from ACCT in Philadelphia and after one month we have been very successful in finding homes for each of our fosters. ACCT Philly has a very high intact volume and because of this, many cats and kittens that are dropped off are put down due to lack of space. It's very unfortunate since many of the cats would make very good pets.
Since we began fostering, it has been very challenging to get them ready for the next stage of their lives but it has been fun as well. Our biggest challenge has been giving them veterenary care when they are very sick. While the clinic at ACCT Philly will provide us with any medication we need, they don’t provide the necessary care and attention we would like so we take them to our local vet. ACCT Philly is also 40 minutes from our house and the drive can be pretty stressful for the cats.
We are asking for help so we can keep saving the lives of these wonderful cats. So many of them get put down every day and any one of these cats could make a great companion for any family. We have limited resources and we want to continue to make a difference. Any contribution will help
