Funding tech equipment needed for app development

Hello! My name is Travis, and I'm a college student attending Rutgers University seeking money to fund the equipment I need for developing a new clothing design app.  Specifically, I'm looking for at least $1,000 to finance the purchase of a laptop (I'm currently writing this from a school computer which does not allow for app development software downloads) and payment of other app developers to assist in debugging the program.
