Living in a third world country we experience a lot of hate towards us as citizens. And here in South Africa we as expecting mothers are not cared for as we should be .
After having a hospital plan before i fell pregnant i was turned down on cover for the birth of my child which would result in me going to government hospital, need to say i was only turned down after 4 months of my pregnancy had gone by and they had been notified of the pregnancy, after a long hard thought and a lot of research done to try find out what would be the best option for me and which would be the best hospital for me to go to, i found such horrific stories. And have heard of a lot of heart breaking news of the fellow citizens and mother of South Africa. I had gone to a gynecologist who has insisted that i have a cesarean as i will probably be to small to have natural birth. unfortunately for us our government hospitals do not offer this to women, only natural birth. So after a lot of tears trying our hardest to raise the money to fund our birth we have not been successful enough to raise all the funds. Every mothers child means the absolute world to them and they would do anything to protect that sweet innocent baby. Unlucky for me i have no medical plan and i am not wealthy enough to afford such a large amount of money and neither can my family, we are trying everything in our power to try get this money together. If i cannot get the funds together by the 3rd of april as the hospital is demanding payment by then as i am a private client and dont have medical aid , i am going to be having the worry about if my child is going to make it alive or not, as we do not even have the option to even pay off our hospital bills.
Any donation would be appreciated, we are desperate and helping me raise funds would turn into helping me put a bigger word out there for the women who are just like me, and battling to raise funds and have to consider going to the government hospitals where we get treated so bad. I have attached links at the bottom of some stories in the news in regards to the treatment women get in the maternity ward it South Africa. Please do understand the severity of the situation. This is really happening. And i feel the need as a first time mom to help all of theses women.
