Campaign Story
Good Day! My name is Liezle Torre and I started this campaign for my sister Leah May Torre who has been diagnosed with stage 5 chronic kidney disease. She is currently in need of financial assistance for her daily treatment expenses and hopefully for her kidney transplant.
She needs to go on dialysis 3x per day along with the other medicines that she needs to take, and it's costing us Php1,500 per day. That is around Php46,000 per month. However, I am only earning 10k per month from an entry level work, while our Mom can only produce around 5k per month from her part time work as care taker. These are not enough to sustain Leah's medication since we also need to pay for our monthly bills and daily living expenses. This is why I am humbly asking for your help for us to sustain and provide my sister's medical needs.
Leah is the youngest in the family. She is only 27 years old. When we were just little, our father left us and our Mom raised us alone. My Mother is a caretaker of a garage for a trucking business in Nueva Ecija. We have other siblings, but they all have a family of their own. Leah and I are the ones left to help our Mom to support our family and provide our daily needs. We started working in Manila at the very young age, this is the reason why we seldom see each other.
Last December 13, 2018, Leah has been diagnosed with Stage 5 Chronic Kidney Disease. The entire family is totally devastated, brokenhearted and hopeless when we heard the news. Leah is still young and has a lot of dreams! Upon knowing the horrific news, my little sister told me: "Ate, I don't want to die yet, I still wanna give Mama the house we promised her."
Despite her situation, she still looks after the welfare of our family, specially our Mom. Leah is a very selfless person and I want to help her live longer. Please help us win this battle for my sister. Any amount that you will share will go a very long way.
