Funding for a laptop for college (also programming as a hobby)

I'm looking for people to help me buy a laptop for college work and programming in my free time.

I am currently looking for work and my parents are paying for my expenses in college but I can't save much money since I barely have enough for rent and food :(

I plan on making a chat app that uses the Opus codec for p2p encrypted voice calls but I haven't made much progress since I am stuck using my family's shared laptop (when I'm at my parents) that can just about run Visual Studio.
