Funding a new start

My amazing friend, who I love very much, is in a situation which is dangerous for their physical and mental health. They are desperate to escape and they're ready- and we're here to support them. But they don't have the financial means to leave yet.  We've saved some money offline but are still far short of what's needed to make a new start- it would take a long time to save the money and it's time that they don't have. 

The target I have set is £1500 and the reason why it's that amount is:

1. £1000 for the first month's rent, deposit and fees for a new rented flat

2. £500 to make repairs to their car.  They live in a semi rural area which isn't well served by public transport. Their car is broken and this means they are even further trapped in their situation and is hindering their ability to be independent.

That's the minimum- more would be great but every single penny will help.  All money will be passed on as soon as the target is reached so hopefully we can reach this soon. If not, the money will be passed on within 2 weeks. 

I'm being deliberately vague with this because I do not in any way want to compromise this person's safety. If you have any concerns then please do contact me privately but understand I can't share this person's identity.  This page has been created with their consent.
